These Terms and Conditions of Business apply to contracts concerning the provision of hostel rooms and individual hostel beds by "Nordstern Hostel" against rent.

§ 1 The contract
… is concluded when the customer / guest makes a booking in person in the hostel or via our website. The customer / guest requests a booking on the website inquiry form, then we will send an email with the actual offer to book the room. As the final step the customer/guest accepts this offer by answering with a confirmation email. This booking is binding both for the customer / guest and for the hostel.
Subject of the contract is the rental of hostel rooms for lodging purposes.

§ 2 Prices, Payment, Settlements of accounts
The customer is obliged to pay for all claimed benefits and the assigned bed in cash or by debit card.

§ 3 Cancellation by customer and failure to use hostel (no show)
The arrival is possible from 4 pm. A reservation will be canceled when a customer/guest has not acceptes our email-offer with a confirmation email and the room will be possibly re-rented after 6 pm. In case of a "no show" of the customer the room is also rented out after 10 pm. A cancellation at a number of 1 to 3 rooms must have been made up to 2 days before arrival until 6 pm. A cancellation at a number of 4 to 10 rooms will remain free of charge for the customer if conducted 14 days prior the stay. For the cancellation of more than 10 rooms there is a withdrawal period of 45 days. For a booking of 2 nights the cancellation deadline doubles, for a booking of 3 nights the cancellation deadline triples. If the cancellation is made later or there is a "no show" of the customer the costs for 1 night will be charged.

§ 4 House rules
The House Rules (see attached) are part of the Terms and Conditions. In case of the violation of the house rules the hostel management is entitled to terminate the lodging contract without notice.

§ 5 Liability and loss of keys
In case of damage or contamination of the building or inventory the customer is liable under the statutory regulations. Lost keys will be charged with 100 Euros.

§ 6 Stay on escape routes
It is strictly prohibited to stay on escape bridges and emergency stairs except in cases of a fire alert. A violation will be punished by our side with an immediate termination of the accommodation.

§ 7 Smoking
According to the house rules/ statutory regulations smoking is generally prohibited in our premises! Each violation will be fined with 50 Euro.

§ 8 Concluding stipulation
Place of fulfillment and payment is the Hostel Nordstern in Muenster. The German law is imperative. Changes and additions to the contract shall be performed written.

§ 9 Severability
The ineffectiveness of an individual part of our Terms and Conditions does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
